Circle of Life

All of us know that circle has no end, giving rise to a plethora of phrases indicating this simple fact of Geometry. What is astonishing is how many of us fail to recognize the symbolic and eternal meaning behind the endless circle.

The nature is an excellent teacher, if you have enough time up your sleeve then there is no limit to how much you can learn from the mighty nature itself. Answers to many of our day to day fundamental questions can be traced back to the nature. The image above has been taken just before the autumn was in full bloom. The eternal truth of the circle can be found present even in this natural event. The eternity of circle has a multitude of meanings; one, which is obvious, that life is always in motion, once you pass from a point, you have to go on and you cannot go back. A more mystical and pristine interpretation of this phenomenon can be found in Hinduism where, a soul’s journey can be compared to the never ending circle- A soul takes up a body, lives the life, dies (which is destruction of only the physical existence) and then takes up another body to continue its journey. Life-Death-Life, similarly, a tree blossoms with the new leaves during the spring, enjoys the pleasantries of summer, then the hardships of autumn follow where the trees are just a mere shadow of their former majesty, and finally in winter, they shade all of their leaves, not to indicate that end is near but to reveal that after winter, spring always comes with rejuvenated life and leaves.
This is also true with the failures and hardships which most of us have to suffer during our lives. In the darkest hour, when everything seems to be falling down, remind yourself “Fear not, lose hope not, because the night is darkest just before the dawn”
Only those who have spent time with nature, trying to unravel its mysteries can fully understand the power of symbolic 0
